DOUGLAS and Jody Erenberg, of Pacific Palisades, encountered this Huli man in the highlands of Papua New Guinea on their three-week South Pacific trip last fall. The villages in the highlands felt a world, and an eon, away. Douglas took the digital photo of the man, who they estimated spent six hours applying his face paint and head gear before a village dance ceremony.
