KCRW Radio Host Pleads in Cocaine Case

Radio host Chris Douridas of KCRW-FM (89.9) pleaded no contest Tuesday to felony possession of cocaine.
Douridas, 43, was arrested in January on suspicion of drugging and trying to kidnap a 14-year-old girl at a Santa Monica bar. He was charged only with cocaine possession after prosecutors determined that there was not enough evidence to support any other accusations.
Douridas has decried “false allegations” against him. His ex-wife, with whom he remains close, told The Times that Douridas told her that he tried to help the girl because she looked ill.
He is scheduled to be sentenced next month.
