Official Proposes Solar Wiring in New Buildings

In an effort to expand the city’s energy supply, Councilwoman Wendy Greuel has proposed that the city require all new buildings to be wired for solar technology.
Her motion would not require builders of all new homes and commercial buildings to install solar panels.
Rather, it would mandate that buildings have the wiring to accommodate solar panels that could be added later.
