At Least Kings Get a Rise Out of Their Fans

The Kings go out and get Rob Blake. The Ducks go out and get Chris Pronger.
The Ducks appear to want to raise the Stanley Cup over their heads. The Kings raise ticket prices for Rob Blake’s homecoming/retirement.

I’d like to thank the Kings for raising ticket prices. They’ll save me even more money when I don’t renew.

Now that Rob Blake is returning to the Kings, what are the idiots who booed him unmercifully for five years going to do for an encore? Probably cheer for him just as hard. If I were Rob, I would say to them, “No, thank you.”
Sure, it’s fun to cheer and yell and even boo, but when the target of that derision is a guy who always conducted himself with class and dignity, they are the voices of ignorance. Of course many of these people are the same ones who booed Gretzky, every time he touched the puck, when he came back to the Forum in a St. Louis Blues uniform. It is always the smattering of jerks who give the rest of the crowd a bad name.
