Driver Whose Car Is Hit by Train Held in DUI

A Garden Grove man was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving early Monday after driving his car onto the railroad tracks, where it was struck by a train. Andrew Poland, 21, got out of the car as he saw the train approaching just south of Sand Canyon Avenue, police said.
The 5:40 a.m. incident delayed the northbound train for about an hour and 20 minutes, police said. No injuries were reported.
