A California truck driver has been booked on two counts of kidnapping for allegedly holding two teenage girls against their will during a cross-country road trip that began nearly two weeks ago, authorities said.
Ricky Jones of Carson was arrested Saturday at a truck stop in west Knox County, Tenn., said Knox County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Martha Dooley. The 33-year-old Jones was being held on $200,000 bond.
Dooley said the two alleged victims, ages 16 and 18, were from the L.A. area. They told investigators that Jones had held them against their will, sexually assaulted them and broken the 18-year-old’s arm, Dooley said.
Deputies were called to the truck stop about 1:45 p.m. when the 16-year-old went inside and told employees that she had been kidnapped and raped.
