Re “Rallying the GOP in Missouri, Bush Assails ‘White Flag’ Wavers,” June 29
This story on President Bush’s comments at a Missouri fundraiser states that several Democratic resolutions about the withdrawal of American troops from Iraq failed in the Senate. But you do not write about the military general who then proposed very similar withdrawal plans. Why was this crucial piece of information left out? Without this balanced view, it looks as if the Democrats are out of touch and standing alone, when, in reality, their resolutions reflect current military thinking, not to mention the majority opinion of the American public.

Just a few questions: Who exactly is the enemy we are fighting in Iraq? The Sunnis? The Shia? Everybody who resists our administration’s vision of their country’s future? Or is that information classified too?
