UCLA Wins in Overtime
Noelle Quinn had 25 points and 11 rebounds in UCLA’s 90-87 overtime victory over California on Sunday.
Lisa Willis had 20 points and eight rebounds for UCLA, (12-8, 7-4 Pacific 10 Conference), and Lindsay Pluimer had 17 points and nine rebounds.
The Bruins shot 81.8% from the free-throw line to 57.7% for the Golden Bears.
Devanei Hampton led Cal (14-7, 6-5) with 24 points, Alexis Gray-Lawson scored 22, and Ashley Walker had 18 points and 10 rebounds. Renee Wright had a game-high 13 rebounds for the Golden Bears.
Gray-Lawson scored four straight points to give Cal an 87-86 lead with 1:23 to play in overtime, but Blue and Quinn made two free throws apiece in the final seconds.
Gray-Lawson missed a three-point shot at the buzzer that would have forced another overtime.
