Sizing it all up

Whether cartoonists ink globally or locally, exercising our free-speech rights often feels like an exercise in futility. On a cosmic scale, Tom Toles cynically links slow climate change to fast food, and in Matt Davies’ world, Iran’s unclear nuclear strategy targets oil-hungry superpowers. On a slightly smaller scale, Nick Anderson thinks inside the big-box retailers, and you can almost see Roger Harvell’s wheels turning as he demonstrates how our newest entitlement program is a disaster on its face. I’m just glad cartoonists are entitled to opinions, whether our little pictures affect the big picture or not.
