Mime time in Italy

IRIS HICKS of San Diego -- who is neither a photographer nor a photo collector -- went on a two-week tour of Italy in September organized by the director of the Museum of Photographic Arts. She came away with a keeper picture of her own. Using her very first SLR camera -- a digital Canon Rebel XT -- she shot this picture of a playful mime in Verona. “I like how sassy he is,” she said. “And the geometry.”
