Thieves Disappear Into Crowd With Artwork

Four men stole several paintings by famous artists from a Rio de Janeiro museum and then slipped away in a crowd of Carnaval revelers.
Officials of the Chacara do Ceu museum said the stolen paintings included Pablo Picasso’s “The Dance,” Claude Monet’s “Marine,” Henri Matisse’s “Luxembourg Garden” and Salvador Dali’s “Two Balconies.”
Museum officials did not say how many paintings were stolen or place a value on them.
