The Berlin-based DJ, who spins all over the globe, was nominated for a Grammy for dance/electronic album in 2004. He performs Friday at the Vanguard Hollywood.
“When I play in San Diego and I drive there from L.A., I get off the highway about 45 minutes before I get to San Diego, in San Clemente.
It’s really amazing -- more like a little village than a city. And at the Fishermans Restaurant & Bar you can sit right by the sea and eat fish. They
have a little marina there and a cute main road and restaurants where you can sit inside or outside. I’ve stopped there twice.”
