Let’s work to get more days off

IN regard to Arthur Frommer’s “A Wish List to Make the Going Easier” [On a Budget, Jan. 29], I have been advocating longer vacations in America for years.
Americans work entirely too much, and we all pay the price. Overworked and stressed workers may result in higher rates of child and spousal abuse, drug addiction, obesity and poor health.
More vacations could actually increase worker productivity. People might be more civil to one another. Road rage might decrease.
And yes, the travel industry might flourish.
