Man Sentenced to Death for Killing Police Officer

Adrian Camacho, 30, a drug addict and ex-convict, was sentenced to death Tuesday for killing an Oceanside police officer.
Superior Court Judge Joan Weber rejected a defense request to change the jury’s verdict to life in prison.
Camacho was convicted of fatally shooting Officer Tony Zeppetella, 27, after a traffic stop in 2003.
