Four men were arrested Saturday on suspicion of murder in the shooting deaths of three young men Friday night on the Rincon Indian Reservation, the Sheriff’s Department said.
The motive for the shooting remains unclear, but deputies believe the two groups had an “ongoing dispute.” Two victims were found near a liquor store and the third staggered to a fire station before collapsing.
Arrested were Jose Gomez, 24; Alexandro Moreno, 21; Esteban Avila, 21; and Ray Janis, 20, all of the Valley Center/Pauma Valley area of northeastern San Diego County, about 50 miles from downtown San Diego.
The dead were identified as Cristino Gomez, 19; Steve Casioce Jr., 23; and David Parada, 24. Two other men were wounded, but their injuries were not life-threatening, officials said.
