Popular marina will be closed

Dropping water levels and the expiration of a concession contract are forcing the closure of a popular marina at the north end of Lake Mead, federal park officials said.
The National Park Service has begun notifying boaters and residents at a nearby RV park that Overton Beach Marina will close. The site is about 40 miles northeast of Las Vegas.
Boat slips will be moved to other marinas, and many of those who have made the park their home or vacation home will be relocated.
