Montgomery lifts Loyola

John Montgomery banked in a running, one-handed 10-foot shot with 2.6 seconds remaining in the second overtime Tuesday to give Loyola Marymount an 84-82 home victory over Boise State.
Following a Broncos turnover with 10.3 seconds remaining, Montgomery drove down the right side and shot the game winner over a Boise State defender. It was his only field goal of the game.
Matthew Knight made 13 of 20 shots and scored a career-high 32 points for the Lions (8-5).
Adoyah Miller had a career-high 23 points for the Lions and made a three-point basket at the end of regulation to send the game into overtime. Miller made six of nine three-point shots and had eight assists.
Loyola Marymount’s Damian Martin had a school-record nine steals to go with his 10 rebounds and six assists.
Matt Nelson had 22 points and 13 rebounds for Boise State (5-5), and Larry Reggie had 19 points and 13 rebounds.
UC Santa Barbara 90, Vanguard 63 -- Chris Devine had 22 points and 11 rebounds and Alex Harris had 18 points and six assists to lift the host Gauchos (8-2), who shot 62.5% and won their fourth game in a row.
Dennis Heenan led Vanguard (2-8) with 18 points.
