Montreal 5, Buffalo 2 -- Cristobal Huet made 42 saves for the Canadiens at Buffalo, N.Y.
N.Y Islanders 4, N.Y. Rangers 3 -- Jason Blake scored three goals for the visiting Islanders.
St. Louis 4, Pittsburgh 1 -- Doug Weight had a goal and an assist at Pittsburgh, and the Blues stopped an 11-game losing streak.
Tampa Bay 5, Washington 4 -- Vincent Lecavalier scored his 200th career goal as the Lightning won at Washington.
Boston 7, Ottawa 2 -- Marco Sturm scored three times at Ottawa, Canada.
Florida 7, Toronto 3 -- Ed Belfour made 33 saves for the Panthers in his first game in Toronto since he was cut by the Maple Leafs.
Atlanta 4, New Jersey 3 -- Marian Hossa connected in the shootout at East Rutherford, N.J., to help the Thrashers end a five-game losing streak.
Colorado 7, Edmonton 6 -- Andrew Brunette scored three goals for the Avalanche at Edmonton.
