Computer Sciences venture wins U.S. deal

Information technology consultant Computer Sciences Corp. said its New Mexico Technology Group joint venture had received a contract from the Air Force valued at as much as $422 million.
Computer Sciences holds a 47% stake in the joint venture. It will receive that portion of the venture’s profit. Other stakeholders include Lockheed Martin Corp., Northrop Grumman Corp. and TRAX International.
The two-year contract, which includes an option for an additional two years, calls for the joint venture to operate and maintain major test facilities at the White Sands Missile Range and high speed test track at Holloman Air Force Base in New Mexico.
