WHAT’S AHEAD
TONIGHT: Maybe there won’t be so many diamonds, but count on glitz and glam nevertheless at the premiere of “Blood Diamond” at 7 at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre. Stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Djimon Hounsou and Jennifer Connelly are expected to walk the red carpet.
Also: Bring your love beads for director Oliver Stone’s reunion with the cast of “The Doors” in a 15th anniversary celebration of the film at 7:30, also at Grauman’s.
THURSDAY: Will Smith and son (and costar) Jaden will attend the premiere of “The Pursuit of Happyness” at the Village and Bruin theaters in Westwood at 7 p.m.
TUESDAY: Sylvester Stallone, Milo Ventimiglia, Sinbad, Vanessa Williams and Jamie Foxx are expected at a bash at L.A.’s Garden of Eden for boxer Antonio Tarver, who stars with Stallone in “Rocky Balboa.”
AWARDS DATES
THURSDAY: Nominations for the 49th annual Grammy Awards will be announced.
SUNDAY: The Los Angeles Film Critics Assn. announces its top movie picks of 2006.
