One Man Killed, One Hurt in Shooting

Road rage may have triggered a late-night shooting that left one man dead and a teenager wounded, authorities said Sunday.
The shooting occurred at Del Valle Avenue and Hayland Street about 11:30 p.m. Saturday.
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department officials said the victims, traveling in one car, got into an accident with another car.
An argument ensued and the occupants of the second vehicle, who authorities described as suspected gang members, started shooting, officials said.
One victim, shot in the chest, was pronounced dead at the hospital. His companion, who was shot in the leg, was treated and released.
