Two Senators Demand Results of UC Probes

Two state senators called for officials to wrap up their probes of compensation practices by the University of California.
The demand came in a letter from Sens. Abel Maldonado (R-Santa Maria) and Gloria Romero (D-Los Angeles) to UC Regents Chairman Gerald L. Parsky. Recent news reports show that UC paid millions in bonuses and other extras to executives, even as student fees were raised.
