L.A. Educator Named to Moreno Valley Post

Moreno Valley Unified School District board members named Rowena Lagrosa their superintendent Tuesday.
Lagrosa, currently the executive officer of educational services in the Los Angeles Unified School District, will oversee the rapidly growing 37,000-student district. Moreno Valley Unified is the third-largest school district in Riverside County, with a $247-million annual budget. Her start date has not been determined. Lagrosa is replacing Nicolas Ferguson, who retired in August.
