Alleged Drug Boss Sought by U.S. Seized

Colombian authorities have captured an alleged top leader of the Norte del Valle cocaine cartel who is wanted by a New York court on drug trafficking and money laundering charges.
Jhon Cano was arrested Saturday when 25 police agents on the ground and in a helicopter gunship stormed a ranch in northwest Colombia, Judicial Police Chief Col. Oscar Naranjo said. Cano is considered the No. 3 man in the Norte del Valle cartel, which authorities believe responsible for half of all the cocaine shipped to the U.S. in the last decade, Naranjo said.
