More Home Buyers Get Interest-Only Loans

U.S. home buyers chose interest-only loans, which initially require no repayment of principal, for almost a quarter of all mortgages in the first half of 2005.
The share of interest-only loans grew to 23% of all home mortgages from 17% a year earlier, according to a report issued by the Mortgage Bankers Assn.
