Taylor Twellman scored in the 59th minute to lift the New England Revolution past D.C. United, 1-0, in a Major League Soccer game on Saturday.

New England, which improved to 6-0-1, hasn’t given up a goal in four home games.

Twellman scored his fourth goal of the season off a pass from Patrick Noonan. Twellman, at the right corner of the goal box, one-timed Noonan’s cross from the right wing past United goalkeeper Nick Rimando.

Revolution goalkeeper Matt Reis made four saves for his fourth consecutive shutout and fifth of the season. He extended his shutout streak to 369 minutes.

D.C. United (2-3-2) had eight corner kicks, including seven in the first half.

Kansas City 4, Columbus 0 -- Scoring three goals in 10 minutes of the first half, the Wizards (2-1-4) won at Columbus, Ohio, to hand the Crew (2-5-0) its worst home loss in nearly nine years.

Josh Wolff had two goals and two assists to lead the Wizards, who ended their four-game winless streak. Alex Zotinca and Davy Arnaud also scored in the first half.

It was the largest margin of defeat at home for Columbus since June 30, 1996, when the MetroStars beat the Crew, 4-0.

MetroStars 3, Chicago 0 -- Eddie Gaven scored two goals and Amado Guevara had a goal and an assist to help the MetroStars (2-2-2) beat the Fire (3-4-1) at Chicago.

Guevara opened the scoring in the 23rd minute, and Gaven scored his first two goals of the season in the 45th and 62nd minutes for the MetroStars.

San Jose 0, FC Dallas 0 -- Pat Onstad made six saves for the host Earthquakes (2-1-4) and Scott Garlick made five for Dallas (3-1-3) at San Jose.

Samuel Eto’o scored his 24th goal of the season to give FC Barcelona a 1-1 tie at Levante and clinch the team’s first Spanish league title since 1999.
