* Cierra Nelson, Diamond Bar: Singled in the go-ahead run in the fourth inning and went two for two in a 3-1 victory over San Bernardino Cajon, ranked No. 15 by The Times, in the Santa Maria Righetti/Best of the West tournament’s championship game.

* Jaime Adishian, Corona Santiago: Went two for three and drove in two runs as the No. 12 Sharks beat No. 11 Norco, 5-4, in a Mountain View League game.

* Lauren Strangis, Crescenta Valley: Had a game-winning, two-run double with one out in the bottom of the seventh inning and also threw a complete game, striking out seven and walking none, in a 3-2 nonleague victory over Burbank.
