O.C. Motorcyclist Killed; 2nd Driver Held
From a Times Staff Writer
A man believed to be on drugs was arrested Sunday after a head-on crash that killed a motorcyclist in Laguna Beach.
The Highway Patrol did not release the name of the victim, a 47-year-old Aliso Viejo man. The CHP said he was driving north on Laguna Canyon Road about 6:30 a.m. when a vehicle driven by Philip Andrew Polk, 31, of Laguna Beach apparently drifted into his lane and hit him.
Polk was being held at Orange County Jail on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter, his bail set at $100,000.
