Woman Is Found Dead in Neighbor’s Pool

A 72-year-old woman was found dead Saturday morning in a neighbor’s pool in unincorporated Orange County near Santa Ana, officials said.
Frieda Dreger, who regularly swam there, was found in the pool in the 12000 block of Orvillina Drive, Orange County Sheriff’s Lt. Ted Boyne said.
The woman often housesat and cared for a dog when the homeowners were away, Boyne said.
Dreger went to the home about 6 p.m. Friday. Her husband called police Saturday morning after he woke up and didn’t see her. She was later found in the pool.
