Westmoreland Buried at U.S. Military Academy

Gen. William C. Westmoreland, commander of U.S. forces in Vietnam during a major escalation of the war, was buried at the U.S. Military Academy, where he was once superintendent.
The World War II combat veteran died Monday at 91 in a South Carolina retirement home.
A 17-gun salute echoed at the West Point cemetery as the coffin was accompanied by a detail of cadets and the academy band.
