No Political Plans for Rossi After Close Loss
Dino Rossi, enjoying life after losing a painfully close race for governor, said in Olympia that he did not plan to run for the U.S. Senate and that a rematch with Gov. Christine Gregoire in 2008 was not a foregone conclusion.
The Republican, in his first interview since pulling the plug on a seven-month challenge of the razor-close election for governor, told Associated Press that he and his family were enjoying spending more time together.
Rossi said he would think more about his political and professional future after taking the summer off.
