A motorcyclist died Friday after he slammed into a Jeep Cherokee pulling out of a driveway in Anaheim.
Robert Wayne Sanders, 53, of Anaheim was killed, police said.
The collision occurred about 4:30 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of Orangethorpe Avenue just west of Raymond Street, said Sgt. Rick Martinez, a spokesman for the Anaheim Police Department.
“Apparently the motorcyclist didn’t see the Jeep in time and locked up his brakes,” Martinez said.
“He was wearing a helmet, but had obvious trauma to his body and head area,” he said.
Sanders was taken to Anaheim Memorial Medical Center, where he died, Martinez said.
No citations were issued and the cause of the accident was under investigation, he said.
