Trevor D. Aston, 32, of Austin, Texas; lance corporal, Marine Corps Reserve. Aston was killed Tuesday in a nonhostile vehicle incident in Iraq’s Al Anbar province. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 23rd Marine Regiment, 4th Marine Division, Marine Corps Reserve in Austin, Texas.

Kevin M. Clarke, 21, of Tinley Park, Ill.; corporal, Marine Corps. Clarke was killed Feb. 19 in enemy action in Iraq’s Al Anbar Province. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, 1st Marine Expeditionary Force in Twentynine Palms, Calif.

Day was among three guardsmen killed Monday when an improvised explosive device detonated as they were getting out of their military vehicle after it rolled over in Baghdad. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 151st Field Artillery, 34th Infantry Division, Army National Guard in Montevideo, Minn.

Clinton R. Gertson, 26, of Houston; specialist, Army. Gertson was killed Feb. 19 when he was attacked with small-arms fire in Mosul, Iraq. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 24th Infantry Regiment at Ft. Lewis, Wash.

Carlos J. Gil, 30, of Orlando, Fla.; sergeant, Army. Gil was killed Feb. 18 when an improvised explosive device detonated in Humaniyuh, Iraq. He was assigned to the 377th Transportation Company, 181st Transportation Battalion in Mannheim, Germany.

Daniel G. Gresham, 23, of Lincoln, Ill.; staff sergeant, Army. Gresham was killed Thursday when a second improvised explosive device detonated while he was responding to another explosive device at Camp Wilson, Iraq. He was assigned to the 797th Ordnance Company (Explosive Ordnance Disposal), 79th Ordnance Battalion, 52nd Ordnance at Ft. Sam Houston, Texas.

Adam Malson, 23, of Rochester Hills, Mich.; first lieutenant, Army. Malson was killed Feb. 19 when an improvised explosive device detonated while he was on patrol in Baghdad. He was assigned to the 4th Battalion, 31st Infantry Regiment at Ft. Drum, N.Y.

Nicholas J. Olivier, 26, of Ruston, La.; sergeant, Army National Guard. Olivier was killed Wednesday when an improvised explosive device detonated while he was on foot patrol in Baghdad. He was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 156th Infantry Regiment, Army National Guard in Pineville, La.

John T. Olson, 21, of Elk Grove Village, Ill.; corporal, Marine Corps. Olson was killed Monday in enemy action in Iraq’s Al Anbar province. He was assigned to the Headquarters Battalion, 2nd Marine Division, 2nd Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Lejeune, N.C.

Jacob C. Palmatier, 29, of Springfield, Ill.; specialist, Army. Palmatier was killed Thursday when an improvised explosive device detonated near his military vehicle in Muqdadiyah, Iraq. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 30th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division at Ft. Benning, Ga.

Eric M. Steffeney, 28, of Waterloo, Iowa; staff sergeant, Army. Steffeney was killed Wednesday when an improvised explosive device detonated in Tuz, Iraq. He was assigned to the 184th Ordnance Battalion, 52nd Ordnance Group at Ft. Bragg, N.C.

Adrian B. Szwec, 43, of Chicago; commander, Navy. Szwec died April 12 in a noncombat- related incident at Guantanamo Bay Naval Hospital in Cuba, where he was assigned as a doctor in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Foreign terrorism suspects, many detained in the U.S.-led war in Afghanistan, are held at Guantanamo Bay.
