According to the 12-count indictment, Weisberg, 47, secretly invested in companies that had offered investment opportunities to Qwest in March 1999 through September 2001.
Weisberg, a former executive vice president at Denver-based Qwest, said in an e-mailed statement that his name would be cleared when the facts of the case were disclosed in court.
