Business Jet Slides Off Airport Runway

A business jet with two people on board slid off the runway at Van Nuys Airport at 7:38 p.m. Thursday, forcing private flights to be diverted to Bob Hope Airport and other airports for some time.
The private jet ran “50 yards into the dirt,†causing no injuries or fuel leaks, said Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Jim Wells.
The cause of the accident was unknown, airport officials said.
