BOYS’ BASKETBALL

* Chris Shade, Apple Valley Academy for Academic Excellence: Had 20 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists as the Knights defeated Anza Hamilton, 83-43, in a Big Sky League game.

GIRLS’ WATER POLO

* Priscilla Orozco, Montebello: Scored the decisive goal with 2 minutes 9 seconds to play as the Oilers, ranked No. 4 in the Southern Section Division I coaches’ poll, defeated Corona del Mar, the top-ranked team in Division II, 8-7, in a nonleague game at the Commerce Aquatics Complex. Orozco and Sharon Diaz each finished with two goals for Montebello.
