From Times Staff and Wire Reports
Rancho Santiago Community College District trustees have appointed Erlinda Martinez president of Santa Ana College.
She replaces Rita Cepeda, who was moved to a vice chancellor position last summer, a move faculty considered a demotion.
Martinez begins her job March 14. She had been vice president for student services/assistant superintendent at Cerritos College in Norwalk since 1995.
Martinez has a doctorate in education from USC.
