Freighter Sinks; 4 Crew Members Die, 2 Missing

A freighter sank in the North Atlantic off the Faroe Islands, killing four crew members and leaving two others missing, police said. Four Estonians and a Russian were rescued by helicopter.
The M/V Joekulfell, with a crew of 11, capsized 75 miles northeast of the Faroes in 20-foot waves. The freighter was loaded with 2,180 tons of construction steel, containers and 58,664 gallons of gas oil, which is a type of crude used for diesel engines and sometimes for heating.
