Man’s Throat Slashed; Brother-in-Law Arrested

A 24-year-old man was arrested early Tuesday on suspicion of slashing his brother-in-law’s throat, police said.
Hedayet Khogyani of Costa Mesa is being held at Orange County Jail on suspicion of attempted murder. Bail has been set at $500,000.
Usmani Hashemee, 40, of Costa Mesa was found about 1:45 a.m. in his apartment in the 300 block of Bay Avenue, police said. He was taken to Western Medical Center-Santa Ana in critical but stable condition.
