Driver Blames Glare in Fatal Two-Car Crash
From Times Staff and Wire Reports
A Corona woman who told police that the sun’s glare impaired her vision drove her car over a road divider and crashed into an oncoming car, killing its driver, authorities said Saturday.
Alejandro Sagal, 19, of Garden Grove was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash on Friday at 7:05 p.m.
He was driving a Ford Mustang eastbound on Memory Lane when it collided with the Toyota Camry driven by Ignacia Ruiz, who said glare caused her to lose control.
Ruiz was not injured. Three passengers in the Mustang suffered minor injuries.
