2 Men Are Killed in Street-Racing Incidents

Two men participating in illegal street-racing events died over the weekend, police said.
Tranquinillo Lopez, 20, died about midnight Friday after he was thrown from his vehicle in a collision. The other driver, who authorities say was not involved in the race, fled but was arrested two hours later on suspicion of felony hit-and-run.
Juan Pablo Moya, 23, was acting as a flagman for street racers when he was hit just before 2 a.m. Saturday by an off-duty law enforcement officer driving by the scene.
