Foul Play Is Suspected in Fatal Apartment Fire
Sheriff’s detectives are investigating a case of suspected murder and arson after firefighters discovered two bodies in an apartment complex blaze Tuesday, authorities said.
The bodies of a woman in her 20s and a boy age 8 or 9 were discovered at the Century Place apartment complex in the 13800 block of Paramount Boulevard at 12:45 p.m., according to Sheriff’s Sgt. Diane Hecht.
A third victim, a man in his 30s, was in critical condition after he jumped out of an apartment window and fell 15 feet.
Investigators said it appeared that the woman and the boy were killed before the fire.
