Government Moves to Freeze Suspects’ Assets

The Treasury Department took action against the finances of three residents of Italy accused of providing support to a group linked to Al Qaeda.
The department’s action targets Ahmed Bouhali, Faycal Boughanemi and Abdelkader Laagoub, who the United States contends have given financial and other support to the Moroccan Islamic Combatant Group.
Under the department’s action, any assets belonging to the individuals found in the United States must be blocked, and Americans are forbidden to do business with them.
