Residents Back Plan to Allow Hunting of Cats
From Times Wire Reports
Despite passionate opposition from cat lovers, state residents supported a plan that would allow hunters to kill feral cats.
Residents who attended the meetings of the Wisconsin Conservation Congress across the state voted 6,830 to 5,201 to allow hunters to kill the cats at will, just like skunks or gophers are now fair game.
The Wisconsin Natural Resources Board at its May meeting will decide whether to order the Department of Natural Resources to ask the Legislature to support the change.
