From Times Wire Reports
Schools Supt. Roy Romer said Friday that he would not renew the contract of Los Angeles Unified’s chief operating officer, Tim Buresh, when it expires June 30.
Buresh, the former director of construction and engineering for the Alameda Corridor Transportation Authority, was hired by the district in 2003 at a salary of $235,000 a year.
“Even though Tim is a very able man, his skill set was not one of running a middle school or high school,” Romer said. “ ... I want all of our operations to be more sensitive to local schools.”
