Ex-Attorney Charged With Embezzling

A former Woodland Hills attorney was arrested Thursday on charges that he embezzled $3.3 million from clients from 1994 to 2001, prosecutors said.
Gary David Lampert, 56, had been a civil attorney specializing in wills, trusts and probate. If convicted of all 20 counts of grand theft and money laundering, he faces up to 32 years in prison, authorities said.
Lampert, who has resigned from the State Bar of California, is to be arraigned today.
