Re “Stakes High as State Targets Greenhouse Gas From Cars,†Sept. 23: Just as automobiles take in oxygen, burn fuel and emit carbon dioxide, so do people and all other animals. Because the California Air Resources Board seems bound and determined to limit the production of carbon dioxide, a greenhouse gas, perhaps it should set a limit on the number of people allowed to be in California.
