Williams Must Repay Miami $8.6 Million
Former Miami Dolphin running back Ricky Williams was ordered to repay the team more than $8.6 million for breaching his contract when he suddenly quit before training camp.
Arbitrator Richard Bloch ruled Friday that Williams must repay $8,616,353 in bonus money under the contract he left behind when he shocked the Dolphins and their fans with his sudden retirement. The contract ran through 2007.

The Dolphins said they may consider delaying Sunday’s game at Pro Player Stadium against the Pittsburgh Steelers, depending on the course of Hurricane Jeanne.
Coach Dave Wannstedt said the storm could postpone the game until Monday or Tuesday.
The storm is expected to hit Florida’s east coast on Sunday morning.

Middle linebacker Brian Urlacher of the Chicago Bears was listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Vikings in Minnesota because he aggravated the right hamstring he pulled in training camp.... Viking running back Michael Bennett, who has a sprained right knee, won’t play in Sunday’s game.... New York Jet safety Jon McGraw was fined $7,500 for a helmet-to-helmet hit on San Diego Charger quarterback Drew Brees, who sustained a concussion late in the third quarter of last Sunday’s game.... Kansas City Coach Dick Vermeil apologized for his remark about running back Larry Johnson. Vermeil had said it was time for Johnson “to take the diaper off and go play†if he’s needed to fill in Sunday against Houston.
