Suspect in Officer Killing Is Shot Dead by Police

A man fatally shot a Butler University police officer outside the school’s basketball arena in Indianapolis, triggering a manhunt that ended with police shooting the suspect, who later died.
The suspect, identified as Kahdir Al Khattab, 26, was taken to a hospital where he died, police said. The officer, James Davis, 31, was shot in the head when he responded to a report of a suspicious person inside the arena.
