Man Waives Hearing in Wife’s Homicide
From Times Wire Reports
The man accused of killing his wife while she slept and dumping her body in the trash waived a preliminary hearing, clearing the way for his murder trial.
By giving up the hearing, Mark Hacking is essentially acknowledging that the state has enough evidence against him to proceed with a murder trial, prosecutors said. No trial date was set.
Authorities believe Lori Hacking was killed in July after learning that her husband was not enrolled in medical school in North Carolina, even though they were packing to move there.
